Friday, April 14 Athletics Recap

SOFTBALL


The Jenison softball team defeated Lowell in a doubleheader by scores of 10-0 and 14-0 at home. The Wildcats improve to 3-0 on the season.


In game one, Korrie Schuurman and Claire Merritt combined for the one-hit shutout while striking out 10.


Liv Bisonet launched a home run and Morgan Macek and Ellen Smit led the offense with two hits each.


Alli Wright threw a five inning no-hitter in game two, striking out nine batters.


Kenadee Schnick, Terin Maynard, Bisonet, and Macy Alkema each had two hits.


GIRLS SOCCER


The Jenison girls soccer team played to a 2-2 draw against Zeeland East on Friday night. The Wildcats move their record 1-0-2.


Natalie Keena and Meghan Lok each scored goals for the Wildcats.


Jenison will travel to Coopersville tomorrow morning at 11:45 AM.


TRACK AND FIELD


The Jenison boys and girls track/field team each finished in second place at the Wayland Invite on Friday afternoon.
