The Jenison girls cross country team finished in second place out of 18 teams at the Early Bird Invite hosted by Portage Central on Friday morning.
Maya Guikema won the event, finishing with a time of 18:31.4, which was 13 seconds faster than the second place finisher.

32nd: Macy Guikema (21:36.0)
36th: Olivia VerBeek (21:43.5)
The Wildcats will compete at South Christian's Under the Lights Invite on Aug. 26.
