Jenison Baseball drops doubleheader at Caledonia

The Jenison baseball team dropped a doubleheader on Tuesday at Caledonia by scores of 7-6 and 14-1. The Wildcats fall to 15-10 overall.


In game one, Jenison trailed 6-1 entering the seventh inning before scoring five runs to tie the game at 6-6. Junior Ray Sherff had a big two-run single to tie the game before Caledonia hit a walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh.


Sherff, Joey Heyboer, and Landon Mueller each had hits for the Wildcats.


Caledonia scored two runs each in the first and second innings of game two, before scoring four runs in the bottom of the third to open up a 8-1 lead.


Corbin Bennetts, Mueller, and Heyboer totaled one hit each for Jenison.


The Wildcats will look to avoid the sweep on Thursday at home against Caledonia.
