The Jenison baseball team fell to Lowell, 4-1, on Tuesday at home in the season opener.

After two scoreless innings, Lowell put up four runs in the top of the third on three hits and an error. Jenison would respond with one run in the bottom of the fourth, but failed to cut the deficit any further.

Junior Jackson Sytsma, senior Josh Huene, and freshman Case Bosch combined to give up just one earned run on the mound, while juniors Colin Diekman and Landon Mueller each had a hit for Jenison.

The Wildcats will be back in action after spring break on April 12 against Grandville to begin OK Red play.
