Jenison Baseball drops series finale against Grandville

The Jenison baseball team fell to Grandville, 9-2, on Thursday in the final game of the series. The Wildcats took two out of three against Grandville, but drop to 2-2 overall and 2-1 in league play.


The Bulldogs scored one run in the first and one run in the second before plating four runs in the third inning to take control of the game.


RJ Rathsack, Colin Diekman, Jaxen Bagley, Spencer Betts, and Joey Heyboer each had hits for Jenison.


Freshman Case Bosch started on the mound and gave up six unearned runs resulting from three Jenison errors. Senior Josh Huene threw 2.1 innings of scoreless relief out of the bullpen.


The Wildcats will travel to Hudsonville on Tuesday for an OK Red doubleheader with the Eagles.
