The Jenison baseball team swept Allendale by scores of 3-2 (8 inn.) and 7-3 on Saturday at home. The Wildcats improve to 10-8 overall.
In game one, each team scored a run in the second and third inning to tie the game at 2-2. The game remained tied until the bottom of the eighth inning as the Wildcats walked the game off with a RBI sac fly from freshman Case Bosch.
Bosch led the offense with two hits.
Senior Josh Huene received the no decision after throwing five innings while allowing just one earned run. Sophomore Corbin Bennetts threw three scoreless innings in relief to earn the win.
Game two remained close until the sixth inning when Jenison broke open a 3-3 tie with four runs to take a 7-3 lead.
Joey Heyboer led the offense with two hits, while Bennetts and Landon Mueller each drove in two runs.
Senior Spencer Betts pitched 3 2/3 scoreless innings out of the bullpen to receive the win.
Jenison will host East Kentwood on Tuesday in an OK Red doubleheader.
