BOYS BASKETBALL
The Jenison boys basketball team dominated the second half in a 67-52 victory over Wyoming on Friday night. The Wildcats improve to 2-2 on the season.
A tightly contested first half resulted in multiple lead changes with Wyoming taking a 27-25 lead into the halftime break. Jenison took the lead in the third quarter and never gave it back. The Wildcats led 44-40 entering the fourth quarter and built their lead by as many as 20 points in the final frame.
Rowan Stewart scored a team-high 16 points, while Hunter Dyksterhouse finished with 11 points. Chris VanSlambrouk also scored in double figures (10 points).
Jenison will host Lowell next Tuesday (Dec. 20).
GIRL BASKETBALL
The Jenison girls basketball team improved their win streak to three games after a 55-28 win over Wyoming on Friday night. The Wildcats move to 3-2 on the year.
Jenison led 14-6 after the first quarter and 28-15 at the half. The Wildcats would continue to increase the lead in the second half and cruised to the victory.
Terin Maynard scored 16 points to lead the team, while Ella Haik added 15 points.
Jenison will travel to Lowell next Tuesday (Dec. 20)
