The Jenison boys basketball team dropped the OK Red conference opener vs. Grandville, 65-41, on Friday night at Kamstra Gymnasium. The Wildcats fall to 4-3 overall and 0-1 in conference play.
Grandville jumped out to an early lead and continued to widen the margin. The Bulldogs led 21-8 after the first quarter and 34-18 at the half.
Caleb Dean led Jenison with 11 points, while Gage Chatfield chipped in with eight points.
The Wildcats will be back in action on Tuesday (Jan. 11) at home vs. Caledonia.
