The Jenison boys basketball team fell by a score of 56-51 against Zeeland East on Friday night at Kamstra Gymnasium. The Wildcats drop to 1-1 on the season.
Zeeland East led 16-10 after the first quarter and took a 31-19 advantage into the halftime break. The Chix lead continued to grow in the third quarter and entered the final frame with a 45-27 lead. Jenison cut the deficit to just four points with under a minute to go but could not pull any closer.
Caleb Dean led the Wildcats with 15 points while Carter VanManen, Cam Duval, and Nathan Arbaugh each had 10 points.
Jenison will host Cedar Springs next Tuesday (Dec. 14).
