The Jenison boys lacrosse team defeated Northview, 10-9, in a conference matchup on Saturday afternoon in rainy conditions. The Wildcats move their win streak to four games and improve to 5-8 overall.
Northview gained the early advantage, leading 3-1 after the first quarter and 4-3 at the half. Jenison responded in the second half, taking a one goal lead, 7-6, into the fourth quarter. The game was tied at 9-9 in the closing minutes before Ethan Mate found the back of the net for the game-winner.
Rylan Kelly had a team-high four goals for Jenison, while Liam Zolman added two goals. Desante Riley, Teague Stephens, Clay Young, and Mate each scored one goal.
Zaiden Chirco tallied a team-high two assists.
Jenison will travel to Kenowa Hills on Tuesday.
