Jenison Boys Swim and Dive Finish 6th at State Meet

The Jenison boys swim and dive team finished in sixth place at the MHSAA DII State Finals over the weekend at Oakland University. The sixth place finish was the program's third highest finish ever at a state meet and the highest placing since 2014.


Andrew Tease finished runner-up in the 100 breaststroke, achieving automatic All-American status for his swim and setting a new varsity record by over a second.


The 200 medley relay team of Tease, Sam Albrecht, Noah Eggleston, and Travis McKellar set a varsity record, finishing in eighth place and earning all-state honors. The same relay squad also earned all-state laurels by finishing fifth in the 400 free relay.


Eggleston raced to all-state status with a sixth place finish in the 100 backstroke.


Xander Austin placed sixth in the 1M Diving event to earn all-state honors, while Jenison's diving coach, Micah Clack, was named Diving Coach of the Meet.

Andrew Tease: 100 Breaststroke, 200 Medley Relay, 400 Free Relay

Sam Albrecht: 200 Medley Relay, 400 Free Relay

Noah Eggleston: 100 Backstroke, 200 Medley Relay, 400 Free Relay

Travis McKellar: 200 Medley Relay, 400 Free Relay

Xander Austin: 1M Diving


The boys and girls swim and dive teams both finished in sixth place at the State Meet this season, the highest combined finish for the varsity programs at a State Meet.
