Jenison Football falls to Caledonia on Friday Night

The Jenison football team dropped a 42-7 decision on Friday night at Caledonia in OK Red action. The Wildcats fall to 2-6 overall, while the Scots improve to 7-1.


Caledonia jumped out to a 28-0 lead before Jenison connected on a trick play for a touchdown late in the second quarter. A wide receiver reverse pass from Caleb Dean to Jackson Systma put the Wildcats on the board with a 58-yard score.


The Scots led 35-7 at the half.


Dean had 76 yards of total offense to lead the Wildcats, while Ethan Mate had a team-high six tackles.


Jenison will conclude the season next Friday night at home against East Kentwood on Senior Night. Eleven seniors will be honored prior to the game.
