The Jenison girls basketball team defeated Grandville, 41-24, on Friday night in the OK Red Conference opener at Kamstra Gymnasium. The Wildcats improve to 4-3 overall and 1-0 in league play.
The Wildcats jumped out to an early lead and led 28-15 at the half. Grandville would cut their deficit to six points early in the fourth quarter before Jenison pulled away late and cruised to the win.
Terin Maynard led Jenison with 24 points.
The Wildcats will be back in action on Tuesday (Jan. 11) at Caledonia.
