The Jenison girls basketball team bounced back with a 54-48 win over Wyoming on Friday night at Kamstra Gymnasium. The Wildcats improve their record to 2-2.
Jenison jumped out to an early 10-0 lead and led 16-2 at the end of the first quarter. The Wildcats continued to increase the margin in the second quarter and took a 33-15 advantage into halftime.
Wyoming would claw their way back in the third quarter, cutting the Jenison lead to just 42-33 entering the fourth quarter. The Wolves continued to chip away at the lead in the fourth quarter, but the Wildcats held on for the six point victory.
Terin Maynard scored a team-high 21 points, while Ella Haik (11 points) and Christine Duch (10) each scored in double-figures.
Jenison will host Lowell on Tuesday (Dec. 21).
