The Jenison girls basketball team got back to the .500 mark after a 44-27 win over Zeeland West on Tuesday night. The Wildcats improve to 3-3 overall.
Jenison's defense was strong early in the contest, holding Zeeland West to just three points in the first quarter and five points in the second quarter. The Wildcats took a 30-8 lead into the halftime break.
Terin Maynard led Jenison with 19 points, while Ella Haik scored 16 points.
The Wildcats will host 5-1 Grandville on Friday night at home in the OK Red Conference opener.
