Jenison Girls Basketball drops home game against East Kentwood

The Jenison girls basketball team fell to East Kentwood by a score of 47-44 on Tuesday night at Kamstra Gymnasium. The Wildcats drop to 5-5 overall and 2-2 in league play.


Jenison trailed 36-25 entering the fourth quarter before cutting the deficit to just one point at 45-44 with just over two minutes remaining. The Wildcats possessed the ball in the closing seconds with a chance to tie, but missed a pair of shots.


Terin Maynard led Jenison with 19 points, while Christine Duch (11 points) also finished in double figures. Sam Timmer added eight points.


Jenison will travel to Rockford on Friday night.
