The Jenison girls basketball team dropped a 59-47 league contest at home against Rockford on Friday night. The Wildcats drop to 8-10 overall and 5-7 in conference play.
The Wildcats controlled the game early as they held a 14-9 lead after the first quarter. Rockford would take the lead midway through the second quarter and took a 30-22 lead into the halftime break. The Rams continued to grow the lead in the second half and held a double-digit lead for much of the final frame.
Ella Haik led Jenison with 13 points, while Elsie Norton scored a season-high 12 points. Christine Duch also finished in double-figures with 11 points.
Jenison will travel to Hudsonville next Tuesday.
