The Jenison hockey team defeated Northview, 4-3, in overtime on Friday afternoon at Georgetown Ice Arena. The Wildcats are 4-0-1 in their last five games and will play Tri-Valley in the season finale and senior day tomorrow afternoon.
Nathaniel Kloppe and Brayden Eddy each scored goals in the first period to give Jenison a 2-0 lead. The Wildcats would add another goal in the second on another Kloppe goal. Northview would score two goals in the second and one in the third to tie the game and force overtime.
Overtime lasted just 45 seconds as Kloppe scored the game-winner to earn the hat trick and give the Wildcats the victory.
