The Jenison hockey team defeated Hudsonville, 3-0, on Friday night in a divisional matchup at Georgetown Ice Arena. The Wildcats move their record to the .500 mark at 8-8 overall and remain undefeated in league play.
A defensive battle for much of the contest, neither team scored through the first two periods of play. Jenison would finally break through in the third period with a trio of goals from Robert Johnson V, Avery Olenzuk, and Hayden Blik. Goaltender Elijah VerWys recorded his first shutout of the season.
Jenison will host Cheboygan tomorrow afternoon at 2:00 PM.
