The Jenison hockey team increased their win streak to three games after a 5-3 win over Cheboygan on Saturday at Georgetown Ice Arena. The Wildcats improve their record to 9-8 overall.
Jenison jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first period before Cheboygan scored with 00.1 seconds left in the first to cut the deficit in half. The Wildcats increased the lead to 3-1 in the second period and held off Cheboygan in the third period after a combined four goals between the two teams.
Jack Bydalek, Sam Bydalek, RJ Rathsack, Avery Olenzuk, and Gavin Phillips each scored one goal for Jenison, while Nathaniel Kloppe and Phillips each recorded an assist.
Jenison will compete on the road next weekend at the Chelsea Showcase.
