The Jenison hockey team snapped a five-game skid with a 6-3 win over Grand Haven in a divisional matchup on Wednesday. The Wildcats improve to 7-8 overall and remain undefeated in division play.
Jenison took an early 1-0 lead on a rebound goal from Jack Bydalek and Hayden Blik found the back of the net to increase the Wildcat lead to 2-0 midway through the second period. Grand Haven would answer and tie the game at 2-2.
Nathaniel Kloppe scored under 20 seconds into the third period to give Jenison a 3-2 lead. The Wildcats would score three more goals in the frame to fend off the Bucs.
Blik and Jack Bydalek would finish with two goals each, while Robert Johnson IV and Kloppe each scored one goal.
Jenison is set to host Hudsonville on Friday night.
