The Jenison hockey team fell, 5-3, against Troy Athens on Saturday in day two of the Michigan Public High School Showcase at Chelsea High School. The Wildcats drop to 9-10 overall.
Troy Athens jumped out to a 3-0 lead after the first period of play and held a 4-1 advantage entering the third period. The Wildcats fought back for the second consecutive day, scoring a pair of goals in the final frame, but could not complete the comeback.
RJ Rathsack, Hayden Blik, and Gavin Phillips each found the back of the net for Jenison.
The Wildcats will host Reeths-Puffer next Friday in a divisional matchup.
