Jenison Hockey drops tight contest vs. Catholic Central

The Jenison hockey team fell to Catholic Central, 3-2, on Friday night in "Back the Blue" with fundraisers supporting the Thin Blue Line of Michigan. The Wildcats drop to 6-5 overall on the season.


Catholic Central would score early and take a 1-0 lead into the first intermission. The Cougars added to their lead into the second period before Jenison scored early in the third period on a goal from Hayden Blik (Gavin Phillips assist).


Catholic Central scored again to take a 3-1 lead. Phillips netted Jenison's second goal late in the third period but the squad could not find the equalizer.


Jension will have a quick turnaround as they travel to Forest Hills Central tomorrow evening.
