Jenison Hockey falls to Sault Ste Marie on Friday at Chelsea Showcase

The Jenison hockey team fell short on the opening day of the Michigan Public High School Hockey Showcase against Sault Ste Marie by a score of 5-4 on Friday at Chelsea High School. The Wildcats fall to 9-9 overall on the season.


The Blue Devils led 1-0 after the first period and built their lead up to 4-1 entering the third period. Jenison would make a furious comeback by scoring three goals in the final frame, but would fell just short.


Brayden Eddy, Avery Olenzuk, Robert Johnson, and RJ Rathsack each scored a goal for Jenison.


The Wildcats will take on Troy United tomorrow at 12:00 PM.
