The Jenison hockey team tied with Hudsonville, 2-2, on Friday night at Georgetown Ice Arena. The Wildcats clinched the OK-Fischer division title with the tie, owning a 7-0-1 record.
The two teams were scoreless in the first period before Hudsonville took the 1-0 lead in the second period. In the final frame, Jenison would score back-to-back goals from Robert Johson V and Gavin Phillips to take the lead, but the Eagles would answer with under two minutes remaining.
Jenison had a 5-on-3 in the overtime period but failed to find the back of the net, resulting in the tie. The Wildcats outshot Hudsonville, 44-24.
The Wildcats will host East Kentwood on Wednesday (Feb. 16).
