The No. 9 ranked Jenison softball team split with Grand Haven on Wednesday, losing game one, 5-1, while regrouping in a 13-0 mercy win in game two. The Wildcats move to 13-2 overall and 8-1 in conference play.
In game one, Grand Haven scored three runs in the first inning and two runs in the second inning to take control of the game.
Elsie Norton and Terin Mayard each had two hits for Jenison.
Jenison would respond in game two with four runs in the first inning and six runs in the second inning.
Christine Duch led the offense with three hits, while Kenadee Schnick, Norton, and Mia VanderHeide each had two hits.
Alli Wright earned the win, throwing five scoreless innings while allowing just one hit.
Jenison will travel to West Ottawa tomorrow afternoon.
