The Jenison Softball team won the Northview Tournament on Saturday with wins over Unity Christian, Bronson, Northville, and West Catholic. The Wildcats improve to 18-2 overall.
vs. Unity Christian (W, 3-1)
Freshman Alli Wright earned the win, throwing seven innings, allowing just four hits and one run, while striking out 12.
Elsie Norton led the offense with three hits and Christine Duch drove in two runs.
vs. Bronson (W, 6-1)
Duch and Korrie Schuurman combined to give up just one run in the circle while recording 12 strikeouts.
Marah Griffore finished 4-for-4 at the plate with three doubles to pace the Jenison offense.
vs. Northville (W, 10-3)
Brynn Timmer earned the win, throwing four innings while not allowing an earned run. Claire Merritt threw an inning of scoreless relief.
Sam Timmer and Morgan Huyser each had three hits for Jenison, while Griffore knocked in three runs.
vs. West Catholic (W, 7-0)
Claire Merritt tossed a five-inning no-hitter in the final game to earn the victory.
Terin Maynard, Huyser, and Mia VanderHeide each had two hits to lead the offensive attack.
Jenison will host East Kentwood on Tuesday in a conference doubleheader.
