The Jenison boys and girls track and field teams competed at the Lowell Invite on Saturday. The girls earned fifth place out of 11 teams, while the boys finished in eighth place out of 11 teams.
On the boys side, Joey Bonacci finished in second place in the pole vault, while Camden Brown placed sixth in the 100 meter and Morgan Graham finished ninth in the 300 meter hurdles.
The 4x800 relay team of Andrew Wangler, Kaleb Maddox, Mason Lucas, and Austin Winkle finished in fifth.
The 4x800 relay and DMR team on the girls side finished in first place which featured; Lily Strelecki, Madelyn VandeBunte, Maggie Otto, and Maya Guikema. Jocelyn Appel also won the long jump competition.
Rachel Barone finished in second place in the 1600 meters, while Eli Vanderveen placed fifth in the 100 meters and Emma Beach sixth in the 100 meter hurdles.
The 4x100 relay team of VanderVeen, Appel, Noa Ruiz, and Emma Norman finished in third place.
