SOFTBALL
The No. 5 ranked Jenison softball team swept Grand Haven by scores of 10-0 and 8-2 on Tuesday in an OK Red doubleheader. The Wildcats improve their record to 17-4 on the season.
Alli Wright earned the win in game one, tossing five innings while allowing just two hits and striking out 12.
Terin Maynard led the offense with a 4-for-4 day including a triple, home run, and five RBI. Mia VanderHeide, Emily DeWeerd, and Morgan Macek each had two hits.
Wright was credited with the victory in game two, throwing four innings of scoreless relief while striking out eight.
VanderHeide and Maynard each had two hits and two RBI.
BASEBALL
The No. 15 ranked Jenison baseball team swept Grand Haven by scores of 8-2 and 9-1 on Tuesday at home. The Wildcats improve to 14-6 overall.
Case Bosch earned the win in game one, tossing a complete-game while striking out 11 batters.
Hayden Winger and Jack Wiercinski led the offense with a pair of hits.
Eli Sytsma threw a complete-game in the night cap, allowing just four hits and one run en route to the win.
Jackson Sytsma, Case Hennip and Ben Slagter each recorded two hits.
GIRLS SOCCER
The Jenison girls soccer team fell to Grandville by a score of 2-0.
The Wildcats will begin the OK Red Tournament on Thursday.
BOYS LACROSSE
The Jenison boys lacrosse team fell to Holland Christian, 5-3, on Tuesday night.
GIRLS TENNIS
The Jenison girls tennis team fell, 5-4, on Tuesday afternoon at Rockford.
