Thursday April 27 Athletics Recap

SOFTBALL

The Jenison softball team defeated East Kentwood, 5-0, on Thursday in their annual Strike Out Cancer Game. The Wildcats improve to 8-3 overall.

Alli Wright threw a complete-game shutout while striking out three batters.

Mia VanderHeide led the offense with two hits, two runs, and two RBI.

BASEBALL

The Jenison baseball team defeated Hudsonville by a score of 5-3 on Thursday in the finale of a three-game series. The Wildcats improve to 10-5 overall.

Case Bosch earned the win, throwing 5.2 innings while allowing zero earned runs and 11 strikeouts. Corbin Bennetts was credited with the save, tossing the final 1.1 innings.

AJ Park launched a home run and Joey Heyboer recorded three hits to lead the offense.

BOYS LACROSSE

The Jenison boys lacrosse team defeated Kenowa Hills, 7-4, on Thursday night in road victory.
