BOYS SWIM & DIVE


The Jenison boys swim and dive team defeated Holland Christian (ranked 3rd in D3) by a score of 103-83 in a non-league dual meet on Tuesday night.

BOYS BASKETBALL


The Jenison boys basketball team fell to Grand Haven, 69-62, in a OK Red matchup on the road. The Wildcats fall to 3-6 overall and 0-2 in league play, while the Bucs improve to 7-0 and 2-0 in the conference.


Jenison held an early advantage before Grand Haven grabbed a 16-12 lead after the first quarter and grew their lead to 39-27 at the half. The Wildcats cut the deficit in the second half, but a Grand Haven individual performance of 37 points could not be overcome.


Chris VanSlambrouck led Jenison with 19 points, while Charlie Norton (11 points), Gage Chatfield (10 points), and Corbin Bennetts (10 points) each finished in double-figures.


The Wildcats will travel to West Ottawa on Friday night.


GIRLS BASKETBALL


The Jenison girls basketball team dropped a 43-38 decision at home against Grand Haven on Tuesday night in league play. The Wildcats drop to 3-6 overall and 0-2 in conference play.


Jenison held an 11-8 lead after the first quarter, however Grand Haven went on a 21-8 run in the second quarter to lead 29-16 at the half. The Wildcats chipped away in the second half and cut the deficit to one possession, but late free throws sealed the game for Grand Haven.


Terin Maynard led all scorers with 17 points.
