BOYS BASKETBALL
The Jenison boys basketball team dropped a 55-38 contest against Rockford on Tuesday night. The Wildcats fall to 4-7 overall and 1-3 in league play.
The Wildcats hung tough with the Rams in the first half, leading much of the first quarter and keeping the game within a few possessions in the second quarter. Rockford took a 27-22 lead into the half. The Rams outscored Jenison 20-7 in the third quarter to take control of the contest.
Chris VanSlambrouck led Jenison with 15 points.
The Wildcats will host Hudsonville on Friday night at 7:30 PM.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
The Jenison girls basketball team fell, 69-37, at Rockford on Tuesday night. The Wildcats drop to 3-8 overall and 0-4 in conference play.
Rockford jumped up to a double-digit in the first quarter and continued to build the lead in the second half.
Terin Maynard scored 17 points to lead the Wildcats.
Jenison will host Hudsonville on Friday night at 6:00 PM.
